The Reinforcing Steel Cutter is an important instrument used widely in the machinery manufactures and construction industries. With technologies being improved and more requires asked, users aren't content with the existing Reinforcing Steel Cutter. It needs further and deeply researching now. Its directions will be reducing cost, adding new features and improving the automation level.Aim at the design and production status of the Reinforcing Steel Cutter, Study the common faults and key issues. Next, propose improvement scheme by analyzing static structure and dynamics of three-dimensional model of the Reinforcing Steel Cutter with the FEM technology and VP technology. Study deeply on the following content in this thesis:(1) Establish three-dimensional solid model of the Reinforcing Steel Cutter. Set up each part model of the Reinforcing Steel Cutter. Accomplish the virtual assembly and carry out the motion simulation. Verify the model's accuracy by doing collision detection using the collision detection function of the modeling software Pro/E.(2) Make static analysis on Reinforcing Steel Cutter case using ANSYS software. Get stress and strain distributions of its case during the Reinforcing Steel Cutter works. Find the maximum stress location and propose improvement programs. Do the FEM analysis on the case model before and after the improvement. Analyze the feasibility and effectiveness of the improvement scheme.(3) Make the FEM analysis on the cut bodies'model of Reinforcing Steel Cutter. Analyze the shearing reinforcement model process of Reinforcing Steel Cutter based on dynamic analysis software LS-DYNA. Obtain the stress and strain nephograms, the fracture changing situation and the shearing force curve diagram while the steel bar model is being sheared. Provide reference data for further study in the follow-up research. (4) Do the dynamic analysis based on transfer reducer model into ADAMS environment. Get the velocity, acceleration, displacement curves of the Reinforcing Steel Cutter case and reducer machine by means of ADAMS/PostProcessor module. Next make in-depth analysis on dynamic properties of reduction unit in the Reinforcing Steel Cutter.Through the simulation analysis acquired the following results:Co-simulation by virtue of the advanced softwares Pro/E, ANSYS and ADAMS, establish a model of the steel cutting machine and achieve its motion simulation. Present improvement schemes and prove their feasibility through doing finite element analysis on the case model. For the first time use LS-DYNA to simulate the dynamic process of the steel bar model sheared by Reinforcing Steel Cutter. Provide reference data for further study in the follow-up research. Obtain function data and related curves of reduction machine which are acquired by using ADAMS to do dynamic analysis on the Reinforcing Steel Cutter reduction machine.
