Organic boron polymer chemistry is a brand new field, Boron compounds have shown great value in the application of conductive medium gradually due to its special properties.In this paper, orthogonal and single factor experimental studies was employed in the optimal synthesis of boric acid polyester; the IR spectrum and gel permeation chromatography were measured to analyze the structure and the molecular weight distribution of boronic propanediol polyester; thermal stability of the boronic polyester was measured by DSC and TG analysis.The synthesized boronic propanediol polyester was further made into working electrolyte of aluminum electrolytic capacitor, and systematic studies on the influence of boronic polyester to the sparking voltage, electric conductivity, and water content of the working electrolyte of aluminum electrolytic capacitor were investigated. The results have shown that boronic propanediol polyester can raise the sparking voltage of the working electrolyte, but meanwhile it will lower the conductivity; boronic polyester can reduce the water content in the electrolyte, while the boronic propanediol polyester after ammonolysis has little effect on the water content of the electrolyte; after ammonolysis, the Hydrolytic stability of the boronic propanediol polyester is improved.The synthesized boronic propanediol polyester was further prepared into working electrolyte of aluminum electrolytic capacitor, we launched a study on its capacitance variation, leakage current, loss tangent, life and other properties. The results have shown that the addition of boronic propanediol polyester in the working electrolyte leads to reduce of capacitance variation and the leakage current, but the loss tangent was increased.
