China is an ancient center of peach plant resources and has extremely abundant apricot germplasm. Although the studies on breeding selection of peach have made great progress in recent years, the late-maturing peach studies on breeding selection remain little. To be aimed at the probllem of the late-maturing peaches,for exzample,'Zhonghuashoutao',study on selective breeding and cultural technique in a new very late-maturing peach cultivar'QiluJuhong'. The main results were as follows:1.In this study,'QiluJuhong'is a new very late-maturing peach cultivar which bred from'Hanxiangmi'×'Taowang 99'and'Dongxuemi'. It has larger fruit, beautiful external appearance, good quality, surplus mature and well-adaptation advantages. It enriches the germplasm of our country and has important meaning for promoting local economic development.2. The fruit ripens in mid-late October with fruit development period about 205 days. The fruit shape is nearly round with a not remarkable beaked top and an apparent suture. The average fruit weight is 375 g, the maximum is 550 g. The fruit background is light yellow, covered bright red color, very beautiful. The soluble solids content is 14.4%. The flesh is fine and tender texture with sweet flavor and good quality. This cultivar is precious,high and stable yield.3. The time that'QiluJuhong'entered growth spurt was earlier than'Tianbaomi'and'Xiaodongtao'. So, fertilizer and water managements of'Qilu Juhong'in production should be done in advance.4. On the year of 2008, 39 kinds of aroma components such as esters, alcohols, aldehydes, ketones and inner esterswere identified in'QiluJuhong'and'Qingzhoumitao'by the method of HS-SPME(Head space-solid phase micro-extraction).'QiluJuhong'contained 30 kinds of aroma components and relative content of esters were more than'Qingzhoumitao'. On 2009, 41 kinds of aroma components were identified in'QiluJuhong','Taowang99'and'Zhonghuashoutao'by the method of SPME(Solid Phase Micro-extract). The esters compound content of'QiluJuhong'was significantly higher than'Taowangjiujiu'and'Zhonghuashoutao'.5. This research proposed the main point of cultural technique of'Qilu Juhong':⑴.Garden selection: The suitable garden is drainage well, water conveniently and the soil was loose and fertile.⑵.Construct the garden at high standard: Fertilize enough organic fertilizer before planting. The planting space is 3×4 or 3×5 (m).⑶.The pruning: This variety uses happy type and the Y glyph. The sapling needs to be cut by the summer primarily, and winter pruning is mainly reshaping.⑷.Field management: Apply fertilizer rationally, fertilize early in autumn, fertilize the base fertilizer, and increase N P K compound fat.⑸.Insect disease prevention: The main work was preventing and uprooting insect disease in early spring.⑹.Bagging: Setting of bag to fruit could improve the quality and the outward appearance of peach, hence its commodity was enhanced.
