Centralized Monitoring Of Adverse Reaction On Benefit Traditional Chinese Medicine Injection In Our Hospital

Objective To investigate how benefit traditional chinese medicine injections (TCMIs) were applided to inpatient and tend of application in our hospital.To monitor the adverse drug reactions (ADRs) of benefit traditional chinese medicine injectionsand to investigate types and severity of adverse reaction, the incidence of adverse reaction, the relevant influence factors of the ADR and relationship btween ADR and irrational use in monitored hospital.Methods To retrospectively investigate benefit TCMIs used in our hospital from 2007 to 2009, and analyzed stastically in terms of consuption sum, DDDs, DDDc and AARG. Medical data and adverse events (AEs) in inpatients receiving benefit TCMIs were collected by face to face counseling combined with medical appliance records from September 2009 to March 2010 in monitored hospital. The results were established and evaluated by logistic regression analysis and logit model.Results1. The terms of consuption sum and DDDs on chemicals injections from TCM, benefit TCMIs and the injections to invigorate the circulation of blood were ahead. The ratio of sorts on benefit TCMIs all deviated 1, and the term of DDDc grow year by year.2.(1)Among 1155 inpatients included, AEs occurred in 150 cases. Assessments of causalities indicated that AEs possible in 87 of 150.The incidence of ADRs of benefit TCMIs was 7.53%.(2)35.9% of ADRs were in the injected position,14.5% were in digestive, and 12.0% were in cardiovascular system. (3)Most of ADRs are light and general reactions, and serious reaction refer to cardiovascular system. (4)Based on logistic regression analysis, sex, with or without allergic disease, existence or nonexistence irrational use of drugs and number of TCMIs were leaded in model.The risk of ADRs of TCMIs was 3.813 times higher in the existence irrational use than that in the nonexistence irrational use.3.(1)The incidence of irrational use of benefit TCMIs was 54.6% (630/1155).31.5% of types of irrational use were disagreed diagnosis, and 29.4% were irrelevancy solvent. (2)a=0.10, Logit model parameter evaluate resultes showed that the interaction with ADR and drip velocity was significant. The risk of ADRs of TCMIs was 36.929 times in the drip velocity exceeded 60 drip/min as high as that in which belowed 60 drip/min.Conclusion1. The chemicals injections from TCM, benefit TCMIs and the injections to invigorate the circulation of blood were the main varieties in our hospital. The terms of consuption sum and DDDs in benefit TCMIs were asvnchronous.2. The overall incidence of ADR of benefit TCMIs was high in the monitored hospital.3. The risk factors of ADR of benefit TCMIs included allergic disease, irrational use of drugs and combined TCMIs.4. The main key factor of ADRs of benefit TCMIs included fast drip velocity and so on among the types of irrational uses on benefit TCM injections.5. The ADRs of benefit TCMIs were related with kinds of factors, which need intervene synthetically for reducing the incidence of ADRs of benefit TCMIs.
