Rabdosia Labiatae plant is widely distributed in China , it is widely used in folk as a herbal medicine . The genus of Rabdosia of family Labiatae, for more than 30 species , have been proved to be a rich source of diterpenodis with various biological activity for their anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-tumor activities, so there has been widespread concerned about Rabdosia Labiatae plant . Rabdosia excisoides (Sun ex C. H. Hu) C. Y. Wu et H.W.Li as one important species of Rabdosia Labiatae plant, widely distributed in the southwest region of Henan and Gansu Provinces. The whole plant with its treatment of hepatitis have a certain efficacy as a folk medicine, although part of its chemical composition have been reported, but did not study thoroughly. In order to better development and utilization of the plant resources, and to find the active ingredients, it is necessary to carry out systematic research on its chemical composition.On this research we mainly studied the Rabdosia excisoides, which belong to the genus of Rabdosia, distributed in Longyuwan of Luo Yang , Henan province, China. The sliced bodies of the Rabdosia excisoides were extracted with ether first to afford low-polarity parts, then with 90% and 80% EtOH,respectively, finally, all compounds which were isolated and purified, werecharacterized on the basis of spectroscopic data (IR,MS,NMR,UV). These includelong-chain fatty acid ester, enantiomer - kaurane diterpene, triterpenes ,kaurane diterpene derivatives and coumarin compounds.
