Kingdom of Thailand comprises 76 provinces, and each of them has its own distinctive emblem. The provincial emblem is exquisite in design and rich in content. It is the symbol of a province. The thesis looks at the distinctive cultural history, customs as well as beliefs by means of provincial emblems. The emblem is analyzed and perceived from multi-angles views.The thesis is divided into introduction,three main body parts and summary. The section of introduction introduces the background, significance, main content, theory used, innovation, and the difficulties. The first part summarizes five common features of emblems. The second part looks at the five kinds of emblems in case studies. There five kinds of provincial emblems, reflecting the religious belief, royal family, historical events or figures, the connotation of the provincial emblem, natural resources, places of historical interests or mascots. The third part, the key part of the thesis, analyzes the artistic nature of the provincial emblems, meanings as well as the function with the help of multidisciplinary theories. The summary part concludes the main points of the thesis.From multi-angles analyses to the provincial emblems, the author believes that Thailand is a country with unique culture. The thesis will facilitate the readers' understanding of Thai history and culture, and society, which will in return promote the exchanges and cooperation between China and Thailand.
