So to speak, a center whose offensive and defensive ability is strongplays a vital role in improving the strength of a team.In this paper, the author of the article analyzed center's offensive and defensive ability of the men's basketball competitions in 11th National Games and finally reached the following conclusions by usingdocumentation method, Delphi technique, questionnaire, video observation and statistics, the mathematical statistics and logical analysis, etc.(1) In 11th Games, though the center's catching a pass and spacing mainly in the near area, the trend of expansion to the middle area appeared. Taking position for catching the ball in fixed place, supplemented by moving, but the success rate of mobile scramble for the ball of is higher; The methods and movements of passing is simple, overhead pass and snap pass are more frequently used, while under pass and bounce pass are seldom used.
