A Comparative Study Of The 12th National Gameswomen’s Basketball Top Three Offensive And Defensive Technology Center

Comparative study is carried out in this thesis to identify deficiency and differences among the six center athletes on the top three teams of the Twelfth National Games Women’s Basketball Games’ whose body shape, offensive and defensive capabilities are studied by the means of four kinds of research methods, which are literature review, expert interview, video observation and statistics. The following conclusionscan be drawn as follows:1. The top three centers in the 12 th National Games women’s basketball have got some advantage for their body shape indices, especially in terms of height. The advantage is quite obvious, which also reflects a trend in the direction of the center to be taller players. Especially, the two centers on Liberation Army team have reached a height of 197 CM.2. In the perspective of the technical statistics of the top three centers’ attack of the 12 th National Games women’s basketball game, except for three-pointers, other attack score modes have no obvious disadvantages. They have more comprehensive means of attack, and higher attack contribution rate. Chen Nan on the Liberation Army team and Gao Song on Heilongjiang team are respectively score queens of two teams.3. In the perspective of the technical statistics of the top three centers’ defence of the 12 th National Games women’s basketball game, steals of Xu Nuo on Jiangsu team, Sun Mengran on Liberation Army team and Liu Jia Cen on Heilongjiang team are fewer, the reason for which is that the center players are tall and difficult to curve waist resulting in slow steals. In addition to steal technique, the other defense techniques of six centers are good enough for the team to make due contributions on defense.
