| Our food security has become a critically social problem which endangered the lives of the public, the healthy course of the economic, and the harmony of the society. The actuality of food safety is out of optimism, and a huge venture has lurked in the domain of food safety. As far as China is concerned, it is in a period of rapid social transition, and the transformation of the social structure and the economic system is in the synchronization, which result in such a status that contradictions and conflicts of the traditional society, industrial society and post-industrial society exist at the same time, and affected each other in a short time, which brings such an outcome that the social problems burst out more abruptly, their causation is more complicated, and more uncertainties exist. China has entered an era full of high risks.The theory of risk society is developed vigorously in the domain of the western sociology and it provides a special perspective to analysis the social events. The authority believes that the main maker of modern risks is not the nature but the human being, and the institutions and technology of the modern society have become the origin of the risks. We can utilize the theory of risk society to reflect the conditions of our food safety and figure out the risks of three different society types are condensed on the food security during the social transition.The risk society theory of Ulrich Beck is utilized to explore the current food security of our country in this paper. First, the paper introduces the relative theory studies and the basic conception of food security, risk and risk society. Second, it puts the status in quo and the characteristics of food security in our country. Third, the paper expounds that China has entered risk society and the exhibitions of the risk society in China. And then the paper analysis the deep reasons of Chinese food security. Finally, the corresponding measures and suggestions is brought forward. |
