Stroke Disease Acupuncture Point Prescriptions Principles And Laws

Objective: 1. Summed up ancient and modern literature of curing main and concurrently symptoms of apoplexy and summarized principle of using points which was used by medicines of ancient and modern .2. Through studying the principle of using points and method of acupuncture and moxibustion ,summed up main points and high frequently recipes which was used during process of curing apoplexy by acupuncture and moxibustion. Methods: Searched 201 ancient literature concluded in acupuncture ancient books or the chapters about acupuncture in synthesis medicine books, which existed in qing dynasty or before. And searched 605 papers (All this papers were issued in province or national level magazines.) about curing apoplexy by acupuncture and moxibustion from 10 month in 1949 to 6 month in 2000. Classified acupuncture prescribes about curing apoplexy according to main symptoms, concurrently symptoms or TCM type of desease. Analyzed the characteristics and rules according to using frequency and at same time analyzed method of acupuncture and moxibustion according to using frequency too. We also can conclude high frequency recipes from high used points. Results: ancient and modern medicines were guided by the theory of "Treating paralysis by single choosing Yangming" to treating apoplexy. Characteristic of choosing points given priority to local-choosing or choosing by following meridian, cooperated with choosing from head to foot or choosing by Bianzheng or choosing points according to symptoms; the method of acupuncture and the method of moxibustion combined each other as the principle of the method of acupuncture and moxibustion. Conclusion: through analyzing and studying ancient and modern literature, summarized high frequency recipes of curing apoplexy.
