| Five new Ci9-diterpenoid alkaloids, namely, leueantines A, B, C, D, and E have been isolated from the roots of Aconitum hemsleyanum Pritz var. leueanthus P. Guo et. M. R. Jia native to Sichuan province. Their structure were elucidated on the basis of spectral data. In addition, 8 of the known alkaloids have also been isolated and identified as franchetine, 13,15-dideoxyconitine, indaconitine, crassicaudine, 8-deacetylsungpan-conitine, talatisamine, chasmanine and ezochasmanine. Five new alkaloids and 8-deacetylsungpanconitine have cinnamoyl groups which are rare in naturally-occuring C19-diterpenoid alkaloids. The fact that the C19- diterpenoid alkaloids with the franchetine skeleton and cinnamoyl group were isolated from this plant has shown a close relationship between Ser. Stylosa and Nolubilia. This is very important for the chemotaxonomy the Aconitum spp. |
