Part I Comparison of DAS among Patients with Anxiety,Depressive Disorders and Comorbid Anxiety DepressionObjective To explore the features of dysfunctional attitudes among anxiety, depressive disorders and comorbid anxiety depression and their interrelations. Methods Patients with depression (N=35), anxiety disorder (N=30) and comorbid anxiety depression (N=30) and matched controls (N=30) were measured by Dysfunction Attitudes Scale (DAS), Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD) and Hamilton Anxiety Scale (KAMA), All these measures were repeated on patients after 6~8 weeks of treatment.Results1. Compared with controls, the total scores and most of factor scores of DAS were higher in anxiety group, depressive disorders group and comorbid anxiety depression group both before and after treatment.2. The total scores and most of factor scores of DAS in comorbid anxiety depression group were significantly higher than anxiety group and depressive disorders group both before and after treatment(P<0.05 ) . No significant difference between anxiety and depressive disorders was observed (P>0.05).3. The scores of DAS in each group were not associated with their respective HAMD and/or HAMA scores.Conclusions1. Serious dysfunctional attitudes existed in patients with anxiety disorder, ones with depression and ones with comorbid anxietydepression.2. The dysfunctional attitudes were not specific to depression and it was poorer in comorbid anxiety depression.3. The dysfunctional attitudes of each group of patients were not associated with its anxiety and/or depressive symptoms.
