Objective: This study investigates the mental health status of residents in Daliancity to establish the prevalence and risk factor profiles of comorbid anxiety anddepression disorder among residents aged more than18years in Dalian city, which willprovide theoretical basis for intervention and prevention.Methods: Data were derived from totally5062urban and rural residents over18years old with multi-stage stratified cluster random sampling, a prospectiveepidemiologic study were interviewed with the Composite International DiagnosticInterview3.0(CIDI3.0). SPSS11.5was used to analysis the results, the chi-square testand logistic regression were used to analysis subjects with a diagnosis of comorbidanxiety and depression disorder on sociodemographic characteristics.Results:(1) The prevalence of comorbid anxiety and depression disorder is1.24%in the general population, depressive disorder with anxiety coexisting disordersaccounted for29.17%.(2) Male prevalence is1.34%, female prevalence is1.16%,which were no significant differences(P﹥0.05). The prevalence of≤30,31-45,46-60,>60were1.38%,1.47%,1.19%and0.73%respectively, which were no significantdifferences among them(P﹥0.05). The prevalence in urban and rural area were1.22%and1.29%, which were no significant differences(P﹥0.05). Similarly, no significantdifferences were in the prevalence of different marital status and occupation, incomestatus. It was found that the higher of the education, the lower of the prevalence(P<0.05).Alcohol dependence was related with comorbid anxiety and depression. The risk ofalcohol-dependent persons suffering from both anxiety and depression increased(P<0.05).(3) The risk factors of comorbid anxiety and depression were male andalcohol dependence, which were significant differences (P<0.05).Conclusion:(1) The prevalence of comorbid anxiety and depression disorder is1.24%in the general population, depressive disorder with anxiety coexisting disorders accounted for29.17%.(2) Low levels of education and alcohol dependence increasedthe risk comorbid anxiety and depression.(3) Male and alcohol dependence were athigh risk of comorbid anxiety and depression.
