Dual-energy X-ray Absorptiometry (dxa) And Quantitative Computed Tomography (qct) For Measuring Bone Mineral Density Accuracy Compared

Purpose To study the accuracy of double energic X-ray absorbtion(DXA)and quantitative computed tomography(QCT) measuring bone mineral density. Methed 20 pig lumbar vertebreas were measured by DXA and 20 vertebral bodies by QCT respectively.The data of QCT and DXA were compared with bone ash analysis.Result QCT was showed to be signnificantly correlated with bone ash density. With linear reggressive analysis,QCT and bone ash weigth density were correlated at high level of significance with r=0.80 (spongy ) and r=0.79(commpact),p<0.01.But DXA's bone mineral density was not showed significant correlation with bone ash density (r=0.41,p>0.05) Conclusion Evaluation of bone mineral density by QCT is accutive.
