This paper reviewed the research of Acupuncture and Moxbustion onthe vertigo caused by vertebral-basilar artery blood-supplyinsufficiency and also on treating the disease with puncturing JingjiajiPoints(EX). The clinical research is about the clinical observation ofpuncturing Jingjiaji Points(EX) on the vertigo caused byvertebral-basilar artery blood-supply insufficiency. Purpose Toobserve the curative effect on the vertigo caused by thevertebral-basilar artery blood-supply insufficiency by applyingacupuncture on Jingjiaji Points(EX). Method The observation included36 vertigo cases. All of them were treated by puncturing JingjiajiPoints2 3 5 7(EX) bilaterally and electroacupuncture was appliedas well. One course included 5 times treatments. Then compared thecurative effect before and after each course and observed the changesof the blood flow dynamics after the treatments. Result There were 21cases cured 14 cases progressed and 1 cases ineffective. The totaleffective rate was 97.2%. Conclusion Puncturing Jingjiaji Points(EX)has obvious effect on the vertigo syndrome caused by vertebral-basilarartery blood-supply insufficiency, and the effect has obviousdifferences according to different age etiologies and course of thedisease.
