| With the method of microscopic identification, the author used the characteristics of remnant hair as a criterion in order to explore a new way for identification of animal drugs. Hair is a particular appendicular organ of epidermis. It grows periodically with biological stability. Microphotographics, picture and data analyzing techniques were combined for this study. According to different types of remnant hair, microscopic studies were carried out respectively. The results shown that it's a simple, feasible method ought to be spread out. Researches mainly including:1. Microscopic identification of animal drugs possessed setae were conducted and pictures, characters were recorded.2. Microscopic identification of animal drugs possessed hair were conducted according to the characteristics of wax slices, frozen slices and hair cuticle moulage, and data were recorded.3. Microscopic features of remnant hair in Chinese Patent Drugs are even studied so as to confirm the credibility of this method.4. Characteristic parameters, such as length of setae, diameter of hair, medulla width, medulla index and hair sac etc, were collected for statistical analysis. Furthermore, comparison among different species of animal drugs could be performed.5. During the study of remnant hair, classification method according to the pith index is explored. |
