Dual Solid Pass "the Impact Of Acupuncture On Diabetic Rats Insulin Resistance And Islet Cell Function

ObjectiveWith various modern research technique, this experiment is to study the effect of "shuang gu yi tong" acupuncture therapy on diabetes mellitus(DM) rats and its possible mechanism, and to compare the curative effect of "shuang gu yi tong" common stimulation acupuncture group and "shuang gu yi tong" strong stimulation acupuncture group.This will provide new method for acupuncture clinic and offer experimental evidences for the further research.Methods1.Within sixty Wister male rats, selecting ten in random as normal control group (group A). The other fifty rats as the DM models by injecting streptozotocin into their lower left celiac cavity. The successful DM rat models are divided into three groups randomly: model control group (group B); "shuang gu yi tong" common stimulation acupuncture group(group C); "shuang gu yi tong" strong stimulation acupuncture group(group D).2.GroupA and group B doesen't made any handle. Group C and group D select "guanyuan" and "zusanli" acupoints as the "shuang gu" acupoint, "yishu" as the "yi tong" acpoint. Group C and group D are treated with G6805 acupuncture therapy-apparatus witch is made in Shanghai. Group C is treated with the intensity of 0.8-1.2 AM, lasting 15 minutes. Group D is treated with the intensity of 6 AM, lasting 30 second .The treatment lasted for two courses, six days in each course and two days at interval.3. With fast sugar equipment, blood sugar is tested after 72 hours of the injection and at the end of the treatment. When the therapy is over, the serum insulin is tested with radioimmuneoassy (RIA), and the change of serum TNF-a and CRP are tested. Expression of neuropeptide Y (NPY) in the pancreas of the rats are detected immunohistochemistry SABC method.Results1.The therapeutic effect on the DM rats: After two courses of the treatment, "shuang gu yi tong"acupuncture therapy can reduce water and food intake and increase weight of the DM rats. In group C and group D ,the level of blood sugar is lowered after the treatment(P < 0.05 ) and the level of insulin and the insulin sensitivity index(ISI) are increased (P < 0.05 ).There is no significant difference between group C and group D(P > 0.05 ).2.The effect on serum TNF-a and CRPof the DM rats: After two...
