Electroacupuncture On Acute Gouty Arthritis Activation Of Cytokine Levels

Objective: To investigate the mechanism of electron-acupuncture on the Acute Gouty Arthritis and to provide experimental evidence for clinic application from activating cell gene like IL-8,IL-1β,TNF-α, Base on observing the treatment effect of electron-acupuncture Zusanli and(?)njiao points on the Acute Gouty knee arthritis rabbits.Methods: 30 healthy Japanese rabbits were randomly individed into control group, AGA model group, electron-acupuncture group. AGA model group were produced by Mc Carty D.J. From the next day, the rabbits of electron-acupuncture group were acupunctured double Zusanli and Sanyinjiao points with electron-needles for 7 days consistently. The targets were measured by ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immuno Sorbnent Assay) and the. examination of pathomorphology technique. The targets such as Pain threshold, the circumfe-rence of the knee joints and the content of tumor necrosis factor (TNF- α ), IL—8, IL-1β of synovial fluid and the pathomorphology of local tissues in joints.Results: (1) The pain threshold of AGA model group is lower than that of control group, (P <0.05) ; The pain threshold of electron-acupuncture group is higher than that of AGA model group, (P<0.05) ; Knee joint swelling of AGA model is more sever than that control group, (P< 0.05); Knee joint swelling of electron-acupuncture group is more slightly than that of AGA model group, (P < 0.05); It suggests that electron-acupuncture can make the effects of detumescence and analgesia. (2) The observation of the effect electron-acupuncture on pathomorphology of synovial membrane in rabbits suggests that electron-acupuncture can alleviate significantly the hyperemia of synovium of AGA rabbit' s joint, edema degree, soakage degree, hyperplasia of synovial membrane and tissue incrassation.
