Objective:Chronic pelvic inflammatory disease (CPID) is a common gynecology disease, and it doesn't recovery after a long period of treatment and easy to recurrence. So it brings great agony to the patients, affecting the health, living and work of women. Countries all over the world think highly of the research, prevention and cure of CPID. This Clinical research explore the possible mechanism and provide scientific basis for PKNG' s application in clinic by observing the clinical effect and the safety on Pen Kang Ning Granule(PKNG) treating chronic pelvic inflammatory disease. Methods:48 patients with chronic pelvic inflammatory examined accumulation and stasis of damp-heat were included in the study .They were divided into two groups randomly: PKNG treatment group and Fu Yan Kang FU Granule (FYKFG) control group, each of which contained 24 cases. Before the treatment two groups in aspect of age, course of an illness, condition clinical symptom has no statistical difference (P > 0.05) . PKNG group and FYKG group were treated with PKNG and FYKFG respectively. Treatment period is two menstrual cycles. Before and after treatment clinical symptoms, local physical signs of two groups were observed and compared, and safety index of patients were observed, then analyzed and treated with statistical method between the two groups. Results:1. The rate of recovery of PKNG group is 8.70%, the rate of the marked effect is 69.21%, and the total effective rate is 91.30%. The rate of recovery of FYKFG group is 5.26%, the rate of marked effect is 63.16%, and the total effective rate is 89.47%. By means of statistics analysis, there is no statistical difference between two groups (P>0.05).2. Both medicines can improve some symptoms (lower abdominal tenderness, tenderness in the uterus, thickening of the appendage, etc.). The rate of recovery of PKNG group is 17.39%, the rate of the marked effect is 52.17%, and the total effective rate is 95.65%. The rate of recovery of FYKFG group is 21.05%, the rate of marked effect is 52.64%, and the total effective rate is 94.74%. There isn't marked difference between two groups on improving some symptoms.3. Both medicine can improve pelvic local physical after the treatment (P<0.05).The rate of recovery of PKNG group is 26.09%, the rate of the marked effect is 39.12%, the total effective rate is 91.30%. The rate of recovery of FYKFG group is 26.32%, the rate of marked effect is 36.84%, and the total effective rate is 89.47%. But pelvic local physical signs lack of marked difference between two groups before and after the treatment(P>0.05).4. The pelvic effusion and inflammatory masses, the effective rate of PKNG group is 93.75% and FYKFG group is 90.90%. By means of statistics analysis, there is no statistical difference between two groups(P>0.05) .
