In literature study part, author systematically reviewed the diagnosis and therapeutic experience of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) on Lumbago with sciatica, summarized the research headway about lumbar intervertebral disc prolapse (LIDP), especially done intensive research on the mechanism of massage, traction and the present therapies about LIDP. In clinical study section, in order to find a new way, author had a clinical analysis on the therapeutic results contrasting of the treated group with the control group, the group rotating the back in prone position together with rolling the back in knee and hip joint flexing position with the traction and massage group, then drew the conclusion that the therapeutic results of the treated group and the control group have no statistically difference . The therapy of rotating the back in prone position together with rolling the back in knee and hip joint flexing position show a definite effect upon the treatment of LIDP.
