ObjectiveAcupuncture at Sifeng (EX-UE 10) in the clinical treatment ofspleen deficiency proved to be safe, convenient and effective. Thissubject regards the experimental rat model by intraperitoneal injection ofreserpine as the research object, to observe the zinc level in rats' bloodand the change of gastric emptying before and after acupuncture, and toevaluate its possible mechanism. This study provided experimental basisto the clinical treatment of spleen deficiency by acupuncture Sifeng(EX-UE 10).MethodsDeficiency of spleen-energy was induced in the experimental wisterrats(averege weight 180-220g) by intraperitoneal injection of reserpine.Rats in the treated group received acupuncture treatment, additionally, normal group and model group were set up. And then detect the contentof zinc in rats' plasma and erythrocytes and observe the Changes of theappetite, body weight and Gastric Emptying.Result1. Compared with normal control group, body weight and foodingestion in model control group were significantly decreased( P<0.01);and the zinc content in rats' plasma and erythrocytes reduced clearly(P<0.05). 2. To observe the change of gastric emptying, there is a significantdifference between model group and normal group (P<0.01).3. The increasement of appitite and body weight in the experimentalgroup were significantly higher than those in the model group after twoweeks of continuous treatment(p<0.01).4. The zinc content in rats' plasma(P<0.01) and erythrocytes(P<0.05)in acupuncture group were increased as compared to the model controlgroup.5. Acupuncture at Sifeng (EX-UE 10) can markly promote gastricevacuation, and there was significantly different between acupuncturegroup and model group(P<0.01).Conclusion1. Acupuncture at Sifeng (EX-UE 10) can improve the appitite ofrats, and the body weight of rats increased.2. Acupuncture at Sifeng (EX-UE 10) can significantly promote theGastric Emptying and increase phasic contractions of stomach.3. Acupuncture at Sifeng (EX-UE 10) can correct zinc deficiency. |
