This study was designed to assess the life style change and physical activity level of new comer post graduate male Ethiopian students to People's Republic of China and investigate the effect of physical inactivity, accumulation of excess calorie intake to the body and compare with the effect of appropriately designed physical activity and exercise. In this test, Body composition tests, physical activity tests, vital capacity test, maximum oxygen consumption (VO2max), biochemical tests, were measured in 10 sedentarily living post graduate students who are living in China. Physical activity and exercise has been prescribed for 5 of these students (3- 5 days per week for 20– 40 min) for continuous 6 months. After the end of 6 month the results are analyzed based on SPSS 11.3 and Excel statistical analyzing system. The results shows that on the exercise group muscle mass increased to 53.92±4.84 kg, (P< 0.05) basal metabolism of the control group reduced to 1480±135 (P< 0.05), exercise group waist hip ratio reduced to 85±0.03 resting heart rate reduced to 72±3.16 sit up test increased to 31.2±2.49 (P< 0.05),And also during the 2nd 12 min run/walk test ,the exercise groups result was better than the control group even if it doesn't have significance.Additionally, in biochemical tests, exercise group's total cholesterol dropped to 206.19±48.18 mg/dl (5%),(P< 0.05), low density lipoprotein cholesterol dropped to 115.16±25.51 mg/dl (6.59 %)(P< 0.05)。Generally, during this 6 months test period, exercise group's muscle mass, energy consumption increased and basal metabolism maintained. Additionally exercise groups'waist hip ratio and resting heart rate dropped. Meaning that, some risk factors of non- communicable disease risk factors reduced. Based on statistical analyzing system the other variables don't have significant difference. So, according to the researcher belief the issue needs further, deep and progressive research.。...
