ObjectivesTo measure the human body composition of medical workers in Zhengzhou, Henan province, based on body composition analyze machine and the data collected from clinical laboratory and analysis its relationship with blood glucose and triglyceride, and to screen the pathoglycemia and dyslipidemia high-risk group and give them healthy diet advise to improve their health level. MethodsFirst of all, the current situations of body composition and blood glucose and triglyceride of medical workers were analyzed Secondly using different obesity detection methods to test the medical workers obesity, and compare the four detection methods; Finally, the body weight, waist circumference, BMI, and body composition and their correlation with blood glucose and triglyceride were analyzed. ResultsOverall of the 2012 workers, men 328, account for 16.3% and women 1684, 83.7%. There are differences of the level and change trend in body composition, fasting blood glucose and blood cholesterol between the males and females. Different detecting methods of the same subgroup, rate of obesity subjects using waist to detect obesity is more than the method of standard body weight and body fat percentage. There are correlation between body composition and the relevant between blood glucose and triglyceride. ConclusionsThere are not few obesity subjects and most of them are belong to central obesity. There are differences of the level and change trend in body composition, fasting blood glucose and blood cholesterol between the males and females. Different detecting methods of the same subgroup, rate of obesity subjects using waist to detect obesity is more than the method of standard body weight and body fat percentage. Body composition could reflect the blood glucose and triglyceride, and it is expected to be used to screen pathoglycemia and dyslipidemia high-risk group in medical workers.
