Artemisiae is a special Tibet drug, and it is usually used to cure icterohepatitis, virus hepatitis and cholecystitis etc. Artemisiae is the common drug used to cure fever, cholic disease and blood disease, while the mussot swertia herb, which is the main plant of the Artemisiae is collected by the drug standard of the People's Republic of china (the first section).《The standard of the Tibet Drug》collects the (Swertia. purpurascens Wall.) under the"tita", (Halenia elliptica D.Don Wall) under the"huamiao", and there are Swertia.Punicea, (Swertia. Frachetiana )etc. in Yunnan, Gansu Drug Standard. In addition, the artemisiae reported in the literature refers (swertia L.,Halenin Borkh,) (Gentianopsis Ma,) (Comastoma T,)(Lomatogonium,) (Saxifraga) and (Mentha. )The Tibet name and the Chinese name are also not unification. According to the on-site inspection and literature sorting in Tibet, Sichuan and Qinghai province, at present there are (swertia L,) (Halenin Borkh,) (Saxifraga) in the Tibet, they always use several plants in their place, and the former is main, so, we study about 6 kinds of the (swertia L.)and the (Gentianopsis. paludosa (Hook. f. ) Ma,() Comastoma. pulmonarium )and the (Swertia. Elata, )so we study all of them, aim to use it as the substitute of the Artemisiae, and to solve the lack problem. We have investigated about the resource, and carried about pharmacognostical study, determined about several xanthenone. The result is as follows:1. Investigation about the resources of the artemisiaes: carry about pharmacognostical study, and find the identification in the shapes, character and the micros. We have made character identification key and micro character contrast chart. It offers solid pharmacognosy proof to develop and expand new drugs and make sure the clinic safe, valid and the further study.2. Pharmacognosy identification of the 10 plants used as the artemisiaes: we have collected the samples and specimens of Artemisiae, and took photos of them. We found that there are 10 species and 3 varieties, which is mussot swertia herb, crowded-stem swertia herb, Qilian swertia herb and so on. In Sichuan province, there are 34 species and 2 variety, 20 species to be used as drugs. Which mainly are mussot swertia herb, crowded-stem swertia herb, gentianopsis paludosa and so on; in Tibet, there are mussot swertia herb, crowded-stem swertia herb and so on.3. Identification of the goods: after investigate about many Tibetan medicine hospitals and enterprises in Sichuan and Qinghai province, we found that the India swertia her is the correct article in Qinghai province, and mussot swertia herb and comiculate spurgentian herb in Sichuan province.4. Initial analysis of the chemical contents: recently, we mainly study about the xanthenone contents, which is the main content to anti hepatitis and cirrhosis, so we determine the content of 10 plants, the results shows that there are 4 xanthenone in the mussot swertia herb, and the chimonin is the highest.
