As the dosage of herbal medicines is increasing,the farming of herbal medicines develop rapidly,and recent years,the planting base has been built almost everywhere.However,the Chinese medicinal herbs come from many species,and the market sold for Chinese herbal seed is confusing,a lot of seeds have adulterants or adulterants.If the producers planted the wrong seed,not only will the producers have huge economic losses,the clinical use will also have security implications.So a series of work is necessary for the identification of herbal medicines seeds.By the study of characteristics identification,Microscopic Characteristics Identification,and Microscopic identification on fruits and seeds of41families105kinds of Medicinal plants,we get their characteristics description and the photos,so as to provide materials for the identification of fruits and seeds about Medicinal plants,and also can make the seeds market of Chinese material medica regular,then the planting of Chinese material medica could orderly development. In addition,results of the experiment could provide materials for the botany study of Medicinal plants,especially for the taxonomy and phylogeny study.Considering the results of the experiment should be used in grass roots and Medicinal materials market mainly,so we used the traditional methods of Chinese material medica identification,that is Characteristics identification and Microscopic identification,which is simple, economic,and convenient,and we used paraffin section in Microscopic identification.Meanwhile we also used the Microscopic Characteristics Identification which was put forward by Jianli Zhou in recent years,that’s an important supplement for the Characteristics identification.As a result,we from three levels of Characteristics,Microscopic Characteristics,and Microscopic to identify the105kinds of fruits and seeds.This thesis has obtained the following results:1.By experiments,we got the characteristics in Characteristics, Microscopic Characteristics and Microscopic,went by the photos show,which have important significance for the identification of true and false.2.The results oF the experiment could provide materials for the botany study of Medicinal plants,especially for the taxonomy study.For example, the comparison of surface and microscopic structure characteristics between Perilla frutescens and Perilla frutescc show that it’s reasonable to put them in separate species.3.There are some fruits and seeds which come from different plants but could be used for the same Chinese material medica in the experiment materials.By observation and comparison,we find some phenomenon need further discussion and study.For instance,Rheum tanguticum and Rheum palmatum have the similar origin and close genetic relationship,so they are more similar in characteristics,by after we got the paraffin section,we found that Rheum tanguticum and Rheum officinale have more similar features in microscopic structure.4.The experiment contain the identification of easily confused fruits and seeds of Medicinal plants as well,such as the seeds of Allium fistulosum and Allium tuberosum,Astragalus complanatus and Astragalus chinensis,Celosia Cristatae and Celosia argentea,and so on.By the description and photos from various levels,we could identify and distinguish them well.The innovation of the thesis is as follows:1.The thesis has a systematic study on fruits and seeds of41families105kinds of medicinal plants by three methods that’s characteristics identification,Microscopic Characteristics Identification,and Microscopic identification.2.In the operation of the paraffin sections,we had tried several experiments on the basis of the conventional slice methods,and foud that fruits and seeds materials should be appropriate to extend the time of each step.If the peel or seed coat a little thin, such as the Umbelliferae fruit,the right cycle might be about20days,while the like Leguminosae whose seeds has thicker skin, the cycle will be longer, nearly a month.3.The similarities and differences of Labiatae, Leguminosae, Umbelliferae fruits and seeds by traits and microscopy study have been systematic summaried.4.Some experimental results have not been coveraged previously,such as the difference of the three rhubarb fruit,the two Notopterygium whose endosperm clusters has the calcium oxalate,andthe surface texture differences between basil and perilla fruit.The findings provide the basis for the authentication of Chinese herbal fruits and seeds,and promote the effective development of the Chinese herbal medicine planting industry.Microscopic Characteristics Identification is again proved to be an effective method for identifying,by further popularization and application it must be an important part in the identification of the work of Chinese herbal medicines.In addition,during the paraffin sections,the time of severl steps have been adjustments according the different materials,that might provide a reference for the future related experiments.
