Objective To explore the postoperative nutritional support, appropriate support methods and its influccnee on rehabilitation in postoperative patients with laryngeal carcinoma to study the influence on thyroid after radiotherapy of laryngeal cancer. To investigate the effect of alimentotherapy on the recovering process following the surgery and radiotherapy of laryngeal carcinoma. Methods Base on the rule of " know and agree to patients", patients with laryngeal carcinoma were randomly divided into radiotherapy group(n=24), from here were randomly divided into therapy group(n=12) and control group(n=12). The surgery group was randomly divided into therapy group (n=12) and control group (n=12) too. All patients have no other dieases, inclue other carcinoma. All patients were given homogenate diet by nasal feeding after surgery. The therapy group was given homogenate diet by nasal feeding, and the control group was given mixed milk. Results: The decreasing of the nutritional index was significantly lower in the therapy group than in the control group (P<0.05) (Surgery group), patients with laryngeal carcinoma will face the danger of the nutritional deficiency following the surgery .there is significant decrease in the values of T3, T4, TSH after radiotherapy (P<0.01) (Radiotherapy group). Conclusion: The radiotherapeutic treatment of laryngeal cancer could produce thyroid demage. The patients with laryngeal carcinoma faced the danger of the nutritional deficiency after the surgical and radiotherapeutic treatment. The appropriate nutritional support could improve significantlt the nutritional status of the dietary-treamted patients and decrease the risk of pharyngeal fistula. |
