| Due to the rapid development of society since the reform and opening-up, the status and role of the cultural industries have also become increasingly prominent. The current cultural industries have become one of the pillar industries in many Chinese cities. The development of cultural industries is bound to be essential to the rejuvenation of the country and its cities. Compared with Beijing and Shanghai, the development of cultural industries in Guangzhou in recent years has lagged behind a lot, and the gap has been gradually increased. As the political, economic, and cultural center in Guangdong Province and even southern China, Guangzhou should play the leading role in building the "cultural province". This thesis uses the systematic and scientific research method to carry out the analysis of the development of cultural industries in Guangzhou. Through the study of the nature of cultural industries, and combined with existing theories and practice achievements relating to cultural industries in China, the concept of cultural industries has been defined. Through the analysis of the status of Guangzhou cultural industries, it has found that the current cultural industries have distinct development opportunities and huge development space, but it also faces many problems. How to address these problems and do a good job on the planning of development direction of Guangzhou cultural industries will directly affect the sustainability of the future cultural industries in Guangzhou.To analyze Stow in recent years, Guangzhou has invested a great deal of manpower, material resources and funds to develop the cultural undertakings, and built a number of landmark buildings, such as: the Opera House in Pearl River New City, Guangzhou New TV & Sightseeing Tower, Haixinsha Cultural Square, Generalissimo Sun Yat-sen's Mansion and other large-scale cultural facilities. The completion of these large-scale cultural facilities has laid a solid foundation for the cultural undertakings in Guangzhou. It can be seen that the current cultural undertakings in Guangzhou enjoys good development and has laid the foundation to a certain extent. However, compared with economic development, growing cultural needs of the people, and the development status of cultural industries in mature regions, the Guangzhou cultural undertakings and industries are significantly backward, and the strengths and development potentials of Guangzhou cultural industries have not been effectively brought into play. The positioning of the Today's Guangzhou is a modern international metropolis. All modern international metropolises depend on the culture, so the sustainability of the cultural industries should be first achieved: firstly, the issue of understanding on cultural industries should be addressed, the development of cultural undertakings should not be only paid attention to, the cultural industries can not be ignored or neglected, we should not continue walking in the old steps and seclude ourselves due to ideological issues, the innovative consciousness of cultural industries should be enhanced; secondly, the sustainable development strategies of cultural industries should be developed. We should adopt measures suiting local conditions and exploit the advantages to the full. The long-term sustainable development planning should be formed; thirdly, a series of strategies should be taken in accordance with socialist market economic laws and laws of cultural industries, classified guidance should be implemented, key projects should be developed, the macro-control should be strengthened, the cultural industries should be better developed, the market competitiveness should be enhanced, the intense competition from abroad and home should be well-prepared; fourthly, the industrial support policies that promote the sustainable development of cultural industries should be developed, and the sound situation with the society's support and participation in the construction of the cultural industries should be formed. |
