Based on the practical researches this thesis found that many vocational colleges have been following the national ordinary colleges in teaching and exam assessment system aspects. They teach the students in books and evaluate the students in paper exams.Thus, this has seriously restrained the students'learning initiative.But learning motivation is the important means to promote students' learning initiative. Therefore, this paper takes hebi vocational and technical college 2008 grade students majoring in English education as a case study, from the Angle of motivation, and through a lot of empirical studies and experimental study to explore how to stimulate students' learning motivation, so as to improve the students' enthusiasm for studying.Empirical study mainly includes:the empirical study on a professional students' English learning initiative questionnaire; the empirical study on English education students' English learning motivation questionnaire; the empirical study on teacher career and teachers' professional skills questionnaire (before practice); the empirical study on teacher career and teachers' professional skills questionnaire (after practice).Empirical researches mainly solve the following main problems: 1. The students majoring in English education in Hebi vocational technical college are lack of the initiative in learning English.2. Most of the students majoring in English education in Hebi vocational technical college have the instrumental learning motivation.3. In realistic social background, the most prominent factor in the instrumental learning motivation is the work factor.From the Empirical researches we put forward an assumption to stimulate students' learning motivation and to promote students' enthusiasm through teachers'professional skills reform.According to the assumption, after the teachers'professional skills reform, we go on with the experiment research. The purpose is to verify "teachers' professional skills" reform whether can stimulate students English learning motivation and improve English learning motivation. The experiment research is divided into three stages.The first stage, Hebi vocational technical college English teachers' skill reform.The second stage, the feedback of school to teachers' professional skills reform.The third stage, the feedback of the students to teachers' professional skills reform.Experimental study solves the following problems:1. The presenting and implementing of teachers'vocational skill reform.2. Teachers' professional skills reform indeed can stimulate the students'English learning motivation and promote the students' enthusiasm for English learning.New problems exist in experimental study:To develop teachers' professional skills, we need a lot of double-profession teachers, such as the music teacher, must have both music and English ability. Where are the double-profession teachers from? And how we train them?...
