On The Female Consciousness In Xiao Hong's Works

Xiao Hong is a woman writer with a peculiar writing style in modern Chinese literature. The review before used to shape and regulate her works in view of the flavor of times, the marker of politics, the viewpoint of class and the style of writing. The paper is intended to overstep the category of class analysis, and instead, give a new interpretation of her writing spirit and art from the angle of the sense of women awareness. The historical gap of literature female images resulted in a chaotic sense of self-identification and sex awareness. The end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th witnessed an upsurge in the sense of women awareness in response to the general improvement of females as a whole, their economic independence and social participation. In the first half of the 20 century distinctive and profound touches in the sense of women awareness can easily find the expressions in the works of some female writers, of whom Xiao Hong is the most reprensentitive.Chapter II The embodiment of the sense in Xiao Hong's writing practice.
