Based on lots of references of analogical reasoning, this article summarizes the development on the concepts, research methods, theories, as well as the status of analogical reasoning research and the argues that the researchers focus on in these days. We then make a thorough analysis towards these controversies and try to design an experiment to prove and solve those problems. In essence, the process of schema induction involves deleting the differences between the analogs while preserving their commonalities. Recently, among theories of Gentner's, Holyoak's and Ross's, controversies are broken out. But, not many experiments were set up to confirm these theories. In this research, subjects are two hundred students who were chosen from first grade of senior middle school in the city of JiLin. We use stories such as Duncker' radiation problem and the general' problem as the experimental materials to develop a research, adopting analogical problem solving paridam. All the data are calculated by the software of SPSS12.0. After carefully analysing and discussing the results, we find several conclusions as follows:First, schema induction is both automatically and strategically accomplished.Second, eliminative induction is supported.Third, compared with surface information, structural information is much more important in the process of schema induction.
