Space narrate is a universal appearance in any narration ,including film narration . but people don't pay great attentionmuch to the space in narration , and advance it . Even up tonow , people still only pay great attention to time in thenarrative theory , and ignore space . Space is very important in afilm , we must pay great attention to it , especially in a narrativefilm . This thesis is just about the study of space in a narrativefilm . It takes the film narrative space as an object of studyand ZhangYiMou's films as sample , and approach a subject fromfilm's space narrate angle . This thesis contained four chapters . The first chapter is " Thenarration and the space in a film " . It gave a brief account ofspace narrate and narrative space in a film . The second chapteris "Become narrative space " and the third chapter is "Space takefor narrative medium " . They are example analysises what discusssome characters of space narrate in ZhangYiMou's films . The fourth chapter is "Space culture appearance analysis " .It probed the scence space and their culture appearance ofZhangYiMou's films . The narrative space is very important in a film . To makestudy of it , not only has great value to theory but also hasmuch meanings to practice .
