Zheng Zhen Wen Yi Word "research

ShuoWenYiZi, written by Zhengzhen, as the first treatise on YiZi in the ShuoWen study history, represents the hightest achievememt on YiZi study. It reads extensively, accepts some reasonable theories and at the same time adds many YiZi. Today ShuoWenYiZi is our most important reference book when we reseach YiZi and check ShuoWen. However, up to now ,few scholars have had little reseach on ShuoWenYiZi and its achievement have not been folly affirmed. My thesis tries to explain ShuoWenYiZi, reveals its value, finds its merits and defects and concentrates on the contribution to ShuoWen study of Zhengzhen famous for XiNanShuoRu .The thesis includes seven parts in which its focus is on the forth part and the fifth part.I: Introduction. This part explains what is ShuoWenYiZi, summarize the predecessors' study, introduces today' study and reveals its reseash significance.II: All Zhengzhen's life and has main works. This part introduces all Zhengzhen's life, his achievement, descendants' evaluation on his achievement and editions of the ShuoWenYiZi.III: The arrangement and explanation style. This part describes its collection of words, its method of separating several chapters, the arrangement form of radical single word and the explanation form of YiZi.IV: The content of ShuoWenYiZi. It contains adding YiZi and textual reseach onYiZi these two parts. The former includes the adding of Zhengzhuan, XiaozhuanHuoti, Guwen and Zhouwen .The latter includes the resources of YiZi, the judgement cause of YiZi, the analysis of the reason of the fleeing and correcing of predecessors' mistakes.V: The achievements of ShuoWenYiZi. Its achievements embody fully in the following four parts. Firstly, it takes in other scholors' theories which is helpful to make this work an influential treatise. Secondly, owning to extending the seeking scope, this book has some new discoveries. Thirdly, it points out some mistakes of the predecessors. Forthly, this work not only discovers many new styles of ShuoWen also applies them to the practice of adding YiZi that is benifitial to the research on YiZi.VI: The historical limitations of ShuoWenYiZi. it serves as a link between past and future and makes prominent contributions but it is imperfect and there are several defects: sometimes having blind faith in quoted materials resulting in articulatory judgement, sometimes following predecessors' theory blindly resulting in some improper adding, sometimes not strict on textual research resulting in some wrong...
