Cha Shibiao And Painting Art

Xin'an-School was a very prominent power in landscape painting in the end of Ming Dynasty and the early of Qing Dynasty .It played an important role and has a prestigious status in Chinese and foreign drawing history with its outstanding success in painting .At that time, it came into being an entirely different style from the style of Loudong-school and Yushan-school which were appreciated by the royal court .and other painting School what was appreciated by Royal court,and took a sublime status in painting history. ZhaShibiao was one of the Xian-sijia .His painting styles together with Jianjiang's were regarded as the representation of the Xin'an-School's style . ZhaShibiao was not only accomplished in landscape painting, flower painting, animal painting and figure painting etc, but also good at poem and calligraphy .His landscape painting were extolled by worldwide people for their cozy and cool style which were regarded as blue ribbon on humanism painting art .It's said that his works could be seen in every home in the city Yangzhou where he lived at that time .He treated himself as a painters adhering to former overthrown dynasty in early Qing Dynasty all his life and affiliated with many most important painters of others painting-schools such as Xuancheng-school , Gushu-school , Jinling-school , Yushan-school and Changzhou-school and so on .His style had affected Yangzhou-school deeply . So the research with regard to Zhashibiao was not only his achievement but also Xin'an-school and the painters adhering to former overthrown dynasty in early Qing Dynasty . Furthermore, it had aggressive meaning to ideologies and styles of painters and schools in the end of Ming Dynasty and the early of Qing Dynasty.This thesis manages to adopt a historically materialistic method to systematically study ZhaShibiao's achievement in landscape painting and influence, and make an objective criticism on his status in the history of landscape paintings. What' s more, we try to draw a conclusion of his artistic achievements in order to better inherit the tradition of landscape painting.
