The last stage in Shakespear's development was called "period of romance". His romance dramas were all written during this period. However, his romances always attract less attention than his other dramas. Besides, there are different kinds of view about Shakespear's romances.There has been romance for a long time. Shakespear's romance is a member of this family. There are close relationships between it and Greek romance and medieval romance. As Shakespear's last plays, romance is the summary of literature tradition and summary of all his dramas. So, if we make study on the plot, subject and craftsmanship of Shakespear's romance and discuss the process in which it inherits from, develops and pours into tradition on the base of literature tradition of European classical and Middle Ages, we can get comprehensive and rational conclusion.
