Preposition Framework ...... Outside Visits

This article is try to explain the historical change of the preposition frame "Chule(除了)...Yiwai (以外) ",and show it's semantic model, syntactic construction and pragmatic function in modern Chinese.This article is divided into four parts.Part one studies the grammaticalization of "Chule (除了) ...Yiwai (以外) " through analysis on great amount of example which come from different dynasty in Chinese history.We find that the preposition "Chule (除了) " was come from the verb "Chu (除) ",and it complete it's grammaticalization process till Sui and Tang dynasity.The preposition frame "Chule(除了)...Yiwai (以外) "was form after the finish of grammaticalization process of "Chule (除了) ".Part two discusses the syntactic construction and semantic model.We conclude a standard semantic model of "chule(除了) "sentence:(C) ChuleAWai, (C) B (N₁)Chule N₂V_p1 Wai,(N₁) N₃V_p2on this basis ,we can divide "Chule (除了) "sentence into 20 types,and we find that one type of which is ofen used in Chinese,another two types of "Chule (除 了) "sentence are rarely used in practical Chinese.Part three mainly discusses the omited rules of "Chule(除了)...Yiwai (以 外) ".Normally, " Yiwai (以外) " is easy to omit,but the omited rules of "Chule(除了) " is very complicated,because the rules is influenced by semantic, syntactic and pragmatic factors.At last,we compare "Chu (除) ", "Chule (除了)", "Chudiao (除 掉)", "Chukai (除开)", "Chuqu (除去) "and"Chuque (除却) ", we found these words are different in syllable , form period and use frequency.
