The concrete content of the system of Granting Homestead was first revealed on Bamboo Slips which is excavated in the tomb of Zhang Jiashan in Han Dynasty. It's a land system which is issued by its governor in the early years of Xi' Han Dynasty, which is based on rank of nobility under the prerequisite of registering for a household residence card and award the corresponding land and residence according to the level of the rank of nobility, and whose vitality is maintained for a long time by a kind of inheriting relationship. Its appearance has its special background and historical reasons.On the basis of drawing lessons from forefathers' research results, with the help of the literature handed down from ancient times and unearthed bamboo slips for writing.This thesis explores its relationships with the Registering System and Inheriting System mainly by discussing the meaning and historical background of Granting Homestead System to infer how it was practiced and how it was declined in Xi'Han Dynasty etc. Being limited to the historical datas, there is a long way to go as to its influences to Han Dynasty and as to how to evaluate it.
