For many reasons,it is very hard to find Muxi who is a painter living in about 1000 years ago in the South Song dynasty in many chinses art historal documentaries,but mast of his works are brought into Japan and his style cannot be accepected and even got many negative critisises from Yuan dyansty including Zhuangsu and Tanghou,in Zhangsu's Haushibuy iand Tanghou's Huajian , Muxi and his drawing style are considered that they are not fit to carry guts to a bear and Muxi does not received his diserved respect and study. However, it varies a lot in Japan Muxi and his darwing style spread striking influence to Japnese art,which leaves a question for disscusion and also can privide supplementary material in Chinses art history study. Based on the different attitude tawards Muxi in China and Japan,The author gets her thoughts and tries to find the relations beteween the darwing style of Muxi and Japan aesthetics.To discuse the different appraisements and estimates for Muxi and his drawing style in China and Japan,the most important reasons is the spreading and storing of Muxi's works in Japan ,but few of his works are cherished well domestically and the relevant studies remain exility in China.Recently,with the interpretation of foreign materials and finding of some new documentaries , Muxi and his darwing style are raised attentions in Chinese art-academic circle and his deserved value and seat in Chinese art history should be adjusted.Based on this anlasy,this thesis is mainly circled on two problems: the 1st,why is the darwing of Muxi received highly resepect and attention but ignored in China,the 2nd,what is the influence of Muxi's darwing to Japanses art and aesthetical taste. The 1st question focuses the differnent comments on Muxi and his darwing style and Japanse atitudes towarsd foreign culture in its history to fix its aesthetical taste.the 2nd one is paid more attentions to elaborate the Japanse paiters who follow the style of Muxi and the influence of Muxi's darwing style to the interior decoration of Japanses sado house.This thesis can be divided into four parts: by comparing the striking differnent attitudes towards Muxi in Chinese and Japanses ancient documentaries, the 1 st part mainly analyses the historical relations of Muxi and Japan in the past overall times.The 2nd one lists the series excibitions which are linked to Muxi held in Japan and analyses the influence of Muxi to Japanses darwing in which can show the presuiting of Japanese for Muxi.Throught these analyses above,the 3rd part mainly discuses the characters and Muxi's darwing and Japanse aesthetical taste and study how the paiting of Muxi effects Japanse aesthetics.The last one is the conclusion of this thesis in which show the attitudes of the author to Muxi and his darwing style.
