Self-esteem, Emotion Regulation Expected Impact On The Consistency Of Effect Of Positive Emotions

The impact of emotion on memory is an importance concern in psychology research.Mood-congruency effect is a very important approach to study the relationship of emotion and memory.A lot of experiments proved mood-congruency effect in the impact of emotion on memory ,but there are lots of opposite results A few researchers study the conditions under which mood-congruency effect emerges.They approved that the mood-congruency effect were affected by personality characters and experiment factors,but most researches localize in negative emtions.Research suggests that positive and negative emotions may not be merely polaro opposites ,and enhance thestudy of positive emotion is very necessary. When placed in a positive mood,what conditions will affect the produce of mood-congruency effect.We can study it through research,which will help us to know the positive emotion and the conditions affecting mood-congruency effect.To investigate the effect of self-esteem and emotion regulation expectancy to mood-congruency effect in positive emotion,I design two study.In 1^st study,the task of recall is autobiographical memory,using 2(emoion) × 2(self-esteem) × 2(emotion regulation expectancy) design;In 2st study,the task of recall is 16 headlines which presents in the course of study,using 2(emoion)× 2(self-esteem)design.It shows that: positive emotion group produce more mood-congruency effect than neutral emotion group significantly.In positive emotion group,mood-congruceny effect in high self-esteem is more than low self-esteem group significantly, mood-congruceny effect in high emotion regulation expectancy is more than low emotion regulation expectancy significantly .But in neutral emotion group,the difference is not significant.Self-esteem can predicte mood-congruence effect better than emotion regulation expectancy under positive emotion.
