In The Late Tang Mourning Prostitutes Poetry Study

The thesis is on the basis of poems and historical material and notes which is about Tang Dynasty. The custom of visiting brothel in Tang Dynasty is very prevailing. There isn't any regulation of forbidding visit brothel. The poets wrote a lot of poems to sing the prostitutes of Six Dynasty and Tang Dynasty. In the early Tang Dynasty, the poems is mainly objectively describe the practical singing girls, while in the later Tang Dynasty is most think, grieve and mourn the prostitutes. This is relevant of the changes about the society and the history. The article has three sections, mainly investigated the poems that the later Tang Dynasty poets mourn the prostitutes. The first chapter explains the times background and types of the poems mourn the prostitutes. The second chapter is mainly discussed that the later Tang Dynasty poets mourned the prostitutes of Six Dynasty, take the example of Mochou, Lvzhu and Suxiaoxiao, it examples that the prostitutes had different contents in the poets' poems. The third chapter is mainly discussed that later Tang Dynasty poets mourned the prostitutes of Tang Dynasty. According the prostitutes' types, this chapter is divided into three parts, respectively explains that the later Tang Dynasty poets mourned the prostitutes that served for officials, personal and anyone. The poets objectively appraised the beauty and the ability of the prostitutes served for official, they cherished memory of the prostitutes served for personal, they praised the moral character of the prostitutes served for everyone and expressed the sign with emotion that beautiful things is always of very short duration.
