The present paper utilizes Chinese dialectology, and descriptionlinguistics concerned, and conducts a comparative method between thezhongquan's dialectic phonetic system and the middle ancient Chineselanguage, the zhongquan's dialectic phonetic system and Mandarin in aneffort to expand on phonetic features of the Zhongquan dialect.See below for features in the system of the Zhongquan dialect'sinitial consonants: [n] and [l] can be read alternatively; [(?)]only appearsafter qichi hu and zuokou hu; the疑group reads in Zhong's speech as[(?)]; and the知庄章groups read [(?)],[(?)],[(?)], and moreover, [ts],[tsh],[s]; Amongst the aged group members of Zhongquan town, there haveretained, so far, a large quantity of帮滂并明groups which read非敷奉微groups in Mandarin. some of[k],[kh],[x] which read[(?)],[(?)],[(?)]in Mandarin remain to be kept in the Zhongquan dialect.See below for features of finals. There are 37 finals with the middleancient yang-sheng rhymes finals, yin-sheng rhymes finals and theru-sheng rhymes finals to some degree blending or merging with oneanother in pronunciation. The yang-sheng rhymes finals-m tail changeinto -n-(?) tails, under the same conditions, is the primary thread:-m�'-n←-(?); and the ru-sheng rhymes final tails all disappeared.Zhong's speech has no the same finals which exist in Mandarin, suchfinals as [γ],[(?)],[(?)],[uo],[(?)].
