It is an eternal subject to get the pith and marrow of the traditional culture intomodern design. This article has made researches on the model and ornament of thesand-fired pot and Wu culture, and has been able to manifest the modeling element withthese cultural characteristics.. Meanwhile, this article has also carried out studies on theharmonious divine creative force view and the design ideology of China. In order toexamine the validity and the feasibility of the research results, the author has carried on apractice of the tea set designs in the last of the study.In the first chapter, the author gives out the background and the significance of thestudy, and the applying values and the analyses of it. In the second chapter, the significanceof the studies on Wu culture and sand-fired pot were given out. In the third chapter, theanalysis method of form semantics was made used of to help classifying the model of thesand-fired pot by different semantics. The forth chapter has given out some specificanalysis on the model of the sand-fired pot according to the method mentioned above. Inthe fifth chapter, the author has made some studies on cultural roots of the models ofproducts and got some conclusions about the elements that composed the form of objects.In the last chapter, a practice of the teapot designs was made in terms of the theoriessummarized above.
