Confucius theory lays much emphasis on harmony.It has sufficient spiritual resources.Its harmony contains three connotations:harmony as moral quality,reconciliation as moral main body,supreme harmony as the world's main body.Harmony in Confucian including our logical layers:harmony between human and nature,between individuals,between individual and community,between body and mentality.The main method the Confucians reach harmony is "norm of conduct",with its specific requirements "Ming fen,keep one's place,responsibility" and so on.Although there exist many similarities between the conception f the traditional Confucius reconciliation and modern social harmony in such aspects as connotations,the basis of harmony and the major passage to achieve harmonious society,they differ a lot in the ethic ideology it contains,the social structure on which it built,the ultimate goal to which it achieved, the special emphasis of the passage and the situation it displayed.Harmony is one of the defining value of China's cultural tradition.It is also the essence and the key points of China's cultural tradition.To build a harmonious society is a systematic project, with cultural development as its major part.The harmonious society advocates harmonious concepts and thoughts,which undoubtedly,provide with the traditional harmony with a favorable opportunity for development.In China's 5000 years' civilization,harmony played an irreplaceable role in maintaining social stability and enhancing national cohesion.In spite of the similarities between the two conceptions in Confucius reconciliation and the modern harmony in such aspects as connotations,the basis of harmony and the main passage and methods to realize harmonious society,the harmonious society the Confucians wanted to build was after all,existed in feudal society,which,compared with the modern harmonious society had evident differences in shuck aspects as the ethic morality it contains,the social structure on which it built,the ultimate goal at which it achieved,the emphasis it laid on and the situation it embodied.We must comb clearly the original thread between the conception and practice of Confucius harmonious society,introspect the inner limitation and contradiction,probe and carry forward its spirits and ideals,evaluate objectively the significance and value of the ethic thoughts of the Confucius harmony to build a harmonious society.Adjust and undercut the personnel nervousness appeared in the competition,treat correctly the relationship between individual communities,improve personal cultivation so as to self-regulate and resolve various profit-contradictions in economic market.Thus achieve the situation of "seeking harmony without uniformity" and teach mutual reciprocity,mutual benefice, and mutual complementary and mutual help.Regulate and rebuild the harmonious and affectionate relationship and ethic morality in modern society,to realize harmony between people and harmony between individual and the society.All these have an important theoretical as well as practical significance to our research of the differences and similarities of ethic framework between the traditional and modern harmonious society.To probe deeply the ideological resources of Confucius harmony,distinguish clearly the differences between the understanding of Confucius harmony and the socialist harmony,discard the dross while assimilate the assess,all have a inspiring significance to our building a socialist harmonious society.
