After the Jia-shen Event(Chongzhen emperor of Ming Dynasty is overthrown by Li Zicheng in 1644),collapse of the Ming Dynasty led to Central Plain in China was full of wars.When the most parts of Chinawere under the turbulent circumstances,Guizhou in the remote southwestern region so its had not been on the impact of the war and still maintained peace.In February 1652, Emperor Yong Li arrived in Anlong from Nanning.Although Yongli administration was in name only,but the spirit of it is symbolic role should not be underestimated.At that time,Guizhou seems to become the political and cultural centre of Yong Li Regime of South Ming Dynasty. Except the scholar-officials who entered Guizhou with Emperor Yong Li,a large amount of the honorific title for a Buddhist monk coming from Central Plains and west Sichuan entered Guizhou for running away from war disaster.They carried forward the spirit which settles difficultly, founded the temple in Guizhou,trains the disciple,and disseminates Buddhism.To such an extent that Zen was all the rage at the moment.The Buddhism temple were all over every mansion and Folk Buddhism Belief spread widely not only to the bigger towns and cities,but also deep into the remote and backward places.Buddhist classics satisfies richnesses of what had not been had.There were such outstanding monks as Zhang-Xue,Chi-Song,Yue-Zhuang,Yu-Song,and so on.whose moral quality and knowledge is well-known in southwest,and not inferiorer than great Buddhists in Central Plains.And when the fighting forces led by the Southern Ming were defeated by the Qing's army,the loyalists of Ming Dynasty whose all fell into despair and some of them believed in Zen Sect in order to maintain national moral courage,and Guizhou had become the center of loyalists of Ming Dynasty who believed in Zen Sect.The loyalists of Ming Dynasty believing in Zen Sect is the unique phenomenon in the history of ideology and culure in the early Qing Dynast.This study aimed at understanding the transformation of Social structure and thinking between late Ming and early Qing.At the same time,the loyalists of Ming Dynasty believing in Zen Sect is an important part of Guizhou regional culture,and the systematical investigation and discussion of it is a accumulation and inheritance of Guizhou culture,with high and long-term academic value.This text based on analying the loyalists of Ming Dynasty believing in Zen Sect who receives less attention by academic world,and the ideological field is the cut-in point of study,trying to study the living conditions of them and their influences on the society.The text pays more attention to blending of the major tradition and the minor tradition,and emphasizes on roles of the whole group of loyalists and monks believing in Zen Sect,to reveal the inheritance of ideological and reconstruction of culture during the transition of the Ming to the Qing Dynasty.
