This paper takes the Lianmian-words (聯緜词) from Guangya and Guangya Shuzheng as the object of study. Based on the summary of former studies on Lianmian-words of Guangya Shuzheng, the scope, characteristics and cognation of Lianmian-words are discussed.Besides the introduction and conclusion, there are five main chapters included.The main contents are as follows:Chapter one defines the scope of Lianmian-words. The evolution of the concept of Lianmian-words is reviewed, according to which, we argue that it is unsubstantial to define Lianmian-words as double-syllable monomorphemic words.This chapter redefines the scope of Lianmian-words by analyzing the concept of Lianyu from Wang Niansun, and points out that the Lianmian-words comprise not only monomorphemic words but also a part of synonymous compound words.Chapter two summarizes the characteristics of Lianmian-words. We summarize three tendencies inthe change of characters, three characteristics of pronunciation and the generality and abstraction of Lianmian-words in this chapter which are based on the analysis of the achievement in the research of Lianmian-words in Guangya Shuzheng.Chapter three investigates the Lianmian-words referred in Guangya Shuzheng. This chapter investigats the quantity, the distribution and the origin of Lianmian-words in Guangya and the augmentation in Guangya Shuzheng, and summarizes the collated methods used in Guangya Shuzheng by analyzing the collation in it.Chapter four studies the cognation of Lianmian-words (from) in Guangya Shuzheng. With the reflection on the previous studies of cognate Lianmian-words, the rules and methods of how to research the cognation of Lianmian-words are established.Uniting and analyzing 14 groups of cognate Lianmian-words, we arrive at three conclusions concerning the pronunciations and meanings of cognate Lianmian-words, in the hope of perfecting the sound transferred rules of Lianmian-words and the research of the cognate Lianmian-words.Chapter five focus on some slight problems in the research of Lianmian-words in Guangya Shuzheng. This chapter analyzes 18 Lianmian-words based on their collations, pronunciations and meanings and points out the existed errors in Guangya Shuzheng on the premise of the achievements of Guangya Shuzheng.This paper includes two appendixes which are tables for Lianmian-words in Guangya Shuzheng and the sound transition of Lianmian-words.This paper aims at making innovations in the following fields on the foundation of former research:First, defines the scope of Lianmian-words and makes the scope consistent with the fact of language.Second, summarizes the characteristics of Lianmian-words in characters, pronunciations and meanings.Third, units the cognate Lianmian-words in Guangya Shuzheng and promotes the research of the rules of sound transition in the cognate Lianmian-words.Fourth, solves some slight problems in the research of Lianmian-words in Guangya Shuzheng.
