It's not allowed to neglect the influence of personality characteristic to the academic achievement. But most of the researches concerning the factors to the academic achievement are concentrated on the student's intelligence and some non-intelligence factors like creativity, ability and so on.Although some researchers once have carried on the discussion to the relations between the personality characteristic and the academic achievement; but it's still lack of the detailed research.The period of the middle school plays a very important part in the developing of the individual. And it's also the stage of the maturation of children's personality. Discusses of the relations between the personality characteristic of middle-school student and the academic achievement, the academic motivation, the academic self-efficacy relations, will be advantageous in enhancing strong points and avoiding weaknesses in the education, pay great attention the individual difference to realize the personalized education, have certain theory value and the practical significance. Especially the education has the significant reference value to the middle-school students. Therefore, this research, in profits from the foundation which the predecessor studies, selects 405 middle-school students as the testee, take the middle-school students small five personality scale, the academic motivation scale and the academic self-efficacy scale as the tool, has discussed between the middle-school student personality characteristic and the studies achievement, the studies motive, the academic self-efficacy complex relations. Firstly, it has studied middle-school student's basic personality characteristic, secondly, it has discussed the relations between the middle-school student s' personality characteristic and the academic achievement, and through which, it has studied the learning disability student's personality characteristic compared with the normal academic self-efficacy, finally to the personality characteristic and the academic motivation, how the academic self-efficacy relations as well as the personality characteristic through the academic motivation, the academic self-efficacy influence studies achievement to have conducted the research.This research mainly draws the following conclusion:(1) Middle-school student's personality characteristic existence gender and the grade difference, the different gender middle-school student displays the remarkable difference in pleasant and openness, the male student scores points in openness obviously is higher than the female student, the female student the score is higher than the male student on pleasant, in extroversion, emotionality, on discrete has not displayed the remarkable difference, middle-school student's personality characteristic displays the relative stability only to have the remarkable grade difference in the emotionality latitude.(2) In the personality characteristic's extroversion, pleasant and discrete and middle-school student's academic achievements become are remarkable related, the emotionality and the studies achievement become remarkable inverse correlation. The personality characteristic and the studies achievement's relations also have the discipline difference, the language result and pleasant become remarkable related. Mathematics result and personality characteristic's several latitudes are not remarkable related, English result and the personality characteristic's partial latitudes become the inverse correlation, but related is not remarkable. The learning disability student and the normal student's personality characteristic difference is not remarkable.(3) The extroversion, pleasant and discrete of the students of middle school and the academic motivation become remarkable related. In the personality characteristic's extroversion, pleasant, discrete and openness become with the studies self-potency are remarkable related. The emotionality and the studies self-potency become the remarkable inverse correlation.
