Father involvement refers to not only the education in children’s behavior and perceiving but also their emotion and morality, which includes fathers’ support, daily care, encouragement and may be some constraint. Educations from one’s father have a major influence on his child, especially whether he can be motivated and achieve his self-efficacy and academic goals. Therefore, this article aims to discuss these connection by investigating nearly 601 students filling the questionnaires involving four university in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, using descriptive statistical analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis to understand the basic situation of father involvement, and the relationship between the father involvement, academic self-efficacy, motivation and academic achievement of university students.Research results are as follows:1. There was a great difference in demographic variables, that is to say, the amount of schoolgirl’s fathers is larger; father involvement from town is more prominent than one from country.2. The connection of the impact on children shows positive correlation except that between father involvement and motivation.3. Father involvement, academic self-efficacy and motivation help to predict the development of college student’s academic achievement.4. Academic Self-efficacy was mediator between father involvement and college student’s academic achievement.5. Chain mediator of motivation and academic self-efficacy between father involvement and academic achievement was confirmed.
