On "the Biography"

In this thesis, the author examines the Legend of Hulan River written by Xiao Hong within the framework of the history of the development on Modern and Contemporary Chinese Literature. And the author penetrates Xiao Hong's thought into the body of literature with the Legend of Hulan River as the center of the text analysis. Meanwhile the author tries to make Xiao Hong's spiritual world, text creation and social context together, and thus sorts out the clues of spirit and the process of thought of Xaio Hong. As the literary God of Luo River, Xiao Hong who was born of the Hulan River, was a woman writer of marked individuality. Her talent was greatly highlighted in the Legend of Hulan River. In her works, it showed the charm and aesthetic value of art which demonstrated Xiao Hong's individual pursuits and conscious creations in the style of writing. The Legend of Hulan River plays a decisive role on the study of Xiao Hong and it is possessed of great artistic value, which is not only reflected on the reference and enlightenment of literary creation of the Modern and Contemporary writers. At the same time as the regional and local historical and cultural resources, Xiao Hong and her works have unique social value, which is powerfully becoming the advantage of Xiao Hong studies.
