| Instrumental music education is an indispensible part in music education of primary and middle schools. Under the environment of promoting education for all-around development, instrumental music education is becoming more and more important. The promulgation of the New Curriculum Standards has also promoted the development of instrumental music in the right direction. However, even though some achievement has been achieved, we must also notice some problems in the reform process of instrumental music education. Some local schools fail to support the development of instrumental music education and the whole music education cause because of the investment and difficulties in setting the course as well as the influence of the traditional view that despises the importance of music. The goal of music education needs to improve, the implementation of the new curriculum standards meets with impediment, and the schools in the rural areas don't pay enough attention to music education, and also there is a serious lack of teachers, teaching instruments and funds in music education, let alone the scientific research in the field. As the widespread implementation of policy of education for all-around development, we should face up to all these realistic problems and try to deal with them actively.The methods in the thesis include designing questionnaires, paying a visit, attending lectures as well as gathering relevant materials. The author studies the historical and the current instrumental music education in Dengzhou Institution and Yu Huang Ding Primary School, and analyzes the Institution and School from such aspects as the history, the development after the foundation of PRC, the influence of the "cultural revolution" and the policy of reform and opening-up with the new thought to instrumental music education, as well as the contemporary empirical research and development in instrumental music education. Furthermore, relevant questionnaires for students and teachers respectively are designed for a better reflection of the current situation in instrumental music education. Now that we have a profound study and understanding of the current instrumental music education in primary and middle schools, we should pay much attention and further analyze the causes to the current situation and problems, and finally put up with some instructive advices, so that we can find some proper and effective methods to promote the development of instrumental music education in primary and middle school. The research in the thesis would have certain enlightenment to the instrumental music education in the implementation of New Curriculum Standards in Yantai Municipality, and provide valuable reference for music teachers in primary and middle school to enhance their ability and quality as well as scientific research ability in instrumental music.The author hopes to provide some valuable information for those dedicated to instrumental music education by presenting the experience in the past and contemporary practice, and hopes that the instrumental music education can be applied to the formal education process. Therefore, this thesis would provide a platform for further research in instrumental music education, and tries to reflect the overall instrumental music education in China through investigating the situation in Yantai Municipality, so that a greater progress can be made in our national music course. |
