Family is a basic unit in the composition of society. Especially in China, the concepts of "family" and "state" are a kind of demonstration of the Chinese spirit of humanity.The thesis focuses on the phenomenon that Chinese traditional culture of families is gradually disappearing, analyzes its reasons and the new mission of creating jewelries in culture and aims to restore Chinese traditional family culture through the art of jewelries. The thesis mainly adopted case study as its major form of study and referred to and consulted relevant documents and literature to analyze the Chinese traditional families through the angle of sociology. It attempts to find reasons why the family culture is impeded and the force that may promote the development of the family culture through the analysis of the Chinese traditional family and its culture. Its purpose is to find a new role for jewelries in culture and promote the shift of its role from reflecting culture to influencing culture.The idea of using jewelries to restore culture is to have a new analysis of traditions with the contemporary knowledge and understanding so as to create new understandings and observe and view the tradition with new knowledge and concepts. In this way, the tradition will be different from the former one. It will be more scientific and better express the true meaning of the tradition. It is also a new interpretation of inheritage and a new evaluation of the restoration and the creation of tradition.
