During Jia Qing administration in Qing dynasty, the imperial administrator would solve the livelihood of idle banners in Beijing, so they ordered Jilin General Fu Jun to survey the land which is prepared to reclaim by the banners in Beijing. After the efforts of Fu Jun, they reclaimed wasteland more than 9,000 hectares in Shuangcheng area, and helped hundreds of household to settle down, i.e. thousands of Manchuria banner men settled in here. It was called Beijing banner men Migration Reclamation in history. And then an upsurge of reclamation began in the land of Shuangcheng area. It has been 200 years since the banners migration. How about the living conditions of Manchu people now? How about their marriage condition? How about the condition of Manchu and Han ethnic integration? How about the preserving condition of Manchu customs and the like? It needs exploring through multi-disciplinary, multi-perspective method. The author made a field work which took Wu Tun Zhao family Shui Quan town Shuang Cheng city as a case. By studying the evolution of the traditional system of marriage and lifestyle in ordinary Manchu minority family, and taking the intermarriage between Manchu and Han ethnic as an entry point, I make a thorough inquiry on the transition from the traditional marriage customs to the modern civilized marriage about Manchu minority. There are some reasons for taking Shuang Cheng city as a target for Beijing banner men Migration Reclamation. The Manchu's didn't know how to farm at beginning, so they had to employ Han displaced person to farm for them. And then, the imperial administrator allowed a large influx of Han Chinese immigrants to reclaim wasteland in the Heilongjiang area. It showed national integration at this time. It highlights the characteristics of Manchu individual family's sense of community which goes from strengthening to strengthening in the evolving marriage customs. The general pattern of the evolution of local culture in multi-ethnic mixed region is a basic process of integration from the differences between the various cultures to adaptation. Ultimately it would form a new cultural pattern in which the cultures attract mutually, promote mutually, and develop jointly. The external appearance of the cultural evolution is that marriage customs trend diverse and vogue in the life of the minorities. Different nationalities have different cultures. A multi-ethnic mixed region is also a multi-ethnic mixed culture area. I integrate previous researches on cultural change, ethnic relations and the ethnic culture, and use sociology, ethnology, cultural anthropology and other multi-dimensional perspective to discuss the problem of cultural change in Manchu and Han mixed region. At this time, China is in the period of transition from traditional society to modern society. It is inevitable to avoid dramatic changes in culture. My research about the Manchu minority culture is based on the report of the more systematic field work report. I make full use of relevant literature and data, and use the method of macro-research and micro-research to classify and analyze the representative phenomena of cultural change. I attempt to sum up the characteristics of Manchu marriage customs, and the stage and the reasons for Manchu minority marriage cultural change. I hope to analysis and forecast the development trend of Man-Han marriage culture and provide reference information for the development of local cultural and society to Heilongjiang Province.
